Hi everyone!

I just wanted to tell about my experience with S&W customer support.
I recently purchased a 686-P revolver and for some reason the rear sight could not be adjusted high enough to align sights with the barell. I called S&W and told them about the problem. They sent me a prepaid UPS label to ship the gun to them.

I shipped the gun on Friday. They replaced the rear sight and on next Friday the UPS made a first attepmt to deliver the fixed gun back! I was very pleased with the turnaround time and with the fact that I did not have to pay for the shipment.

I bought a 38-2 bodyguard and had the frame
crack after 150rds.I called S&W and they had
it shipped back on their dime.I shipped it on
a monday morning,on tuesday of the following
week fed ex delivered a new 638 to my door.
hat was great customer service and the
reason i just bought a 642-2.

I bought a 20 year old M67, and when the firing pin broke they sent me a free shipping label and I had it back in my hands within a week and a half. Free of charge. They are the best.

I purchased a new 638. At 25 yards it would shoot 10" to the right. The gun shop said I shouldn't be shooting that far. I told him that the gun should shoot to point of aim as far as left to right is concerned. I had him call S&W and they had him send it back. Not only does it shoot to point of aim it shoots tighter groups now. They have good C.S. So do alot of other companies. The distressing thing I see is that they seem to be necessary. I've had far to many that needed sent back lately, not just smiths but all brands.

I've got a Walther P22 that is giving me some problems. S&W is paying to have me ship it to them. They didn't even hassle me about it, just sent me the form and said, ship it! They are ultra responsive to email questions too.

S&W Customer Service

I recently bought a 2nd barrel for my S&W M41 .22 target gun so I could mount a scope on it and switch from open sights to scope quickly by just changing barrels. To my sorrow, the new barrel fit VERY hard, did not sit level on gun, and shaved bullets while feeding. A phone call to S&W revealed that they had recently changed dimensions on new M41 barrels and there may be a problem fitting them to older guns. They asked me to ship frame and both barrels back at their cost so they could check out the tolerances situation re new vs old dimensions and of course adjust the new barrel to fit perfectly. Shipped yesterday. Terry said he would have the gun back to me in less than 8 days. So far, the response and service has been excellent.

Good shooting and be safe.
