I have a mission to find either a 4in 19 or 66 (hopefully a p&R 19 in good shape) at the gunshow this weekend. I totaly hate the way factory S&W wood grips feel and change them on every Smith I get, but I'm running out of ideas. I have Hogue Kingwood wood grips on my 686, Eagle Heratige Double Diamond repro grips on my 27, Ahrends Finger grove Cocobolo grips on my 67 and heavy barrel 10, and WWII repro grips on my M&P.
HELP...
My wife insists no finger groves because they don't fit her right and I definatly want wood..no plastic or rubber. What style and brand wood grips look and feel right on a square butt 4in k/l frame?
Photos apreciated
Thanks,
Jason

Well, I can surely sympathize, 'cause I run with your girl on this matter: gotta be wood, no stupid fingergrooves that never fall in the right place. Problem is, you've already tried the usual suspects. How about going retro (though I don't know how different this would be from the Eagles you've already got) with something like this?

Hogue sells their grips WITHOUT finger grooves.

These fit the hand nicely and the price is right.

Service stocks with a Tyler T. If you haven't tried it you don't know what you are missing, and your wifes smaller hand will really appreciate it too.
