My answer is:

My preference is with the all steel S&W Centennials as I own two. I have a 640 no dash (1-7/8" .38 special) that I carry in a Renegade ankle holster or Mika pocket holster and a 640-1 (2-1/4" .357 magnum) that I carry in a Galco strong side belt holster.

My reason for preferring the Centennial model... I don't see the need to use single action when shooting a two inch revolver and I also think that the lack of the hammer shroud, as found on the Bodyguard models, reduces the chance of foreign matter collecting in the shroud.
