I have an M-39 that I bought a few years back that has developed a problem. It will fail to extract every third or so round. The problem was an off an on thing when I bought the gun used and the store I bought it from has lost their FFL and went out of the gun business.
I did a field strip and thorough cleaning but it seemed to make the problem worse. I suspect that the extractor has had some "help" from a previous owner - the hook is visibly less than 90 degrees.
What I am looking for is a sanity check on the extractor diagnosis. Numrich seems to have replacements. There is a numeral 3 stamped on the extractor - anyone know if this means something?
