This question is for owners or previous owners of said rifles. Do you or have you noticed feeding problems using hollow points vs round nose? How about between different manufactures of ammo? My wife has one that does not like Winchester hollow points but runs flawlessly with Federal AutoMatch 40 gr solids. Figured I would ask rather than chance messing up any more hollow point ammo, not like a person can just go anywhere and pick more up readily!

Mine doesn't like Winchester 555's - will choke on them around 5%(?) of the time.

The Winchester 555 has the flattest nose profile of any 22 I shoot thru it - so far, that's the only HP mine has a little trouble with, no doubt because of the very flat nose profile.

I'm thinking it may get better feeding the 555 round over time, but I tend to shoot other stuff thru it.

My 15-22 loves CCI round nose and HP. Federal bulk and Remington golden bullet are also reliable for me.

I think you're asking the wrong question.
It's not HP vs. RN, etc. - it's more a case of the bullet profile.

I've fed numerous brands of HP thru mine with no problem - as stated earlier, the only one it has problems with are the Winchester 555 (also in the 333 and 225 boxes) due to the very flat nose profile.

I have never found anything that my 15-22 does not like. I have used CCI standard Vel, Mini Mag, Rem Golden Bullets, Federal Auto Match ( my all around favorite, Federal Champion ( blue box) and Winchester Western and some Aguila as well.

I have two of the rifles and have the same experience as Armed, they will eat anything i feed them. I have routinely shot a mixture of 25-30 year old stuff all mixed including high and standard velocity, occasionally a dead round is encountered but everything seems to feed and fire just fine. I have had such fun with these .22's but one must enjoy the AR platform as they are not a traditional rifle with wood and steel. My rifles will shoot acceptable groups on paper but they really shine with soda cans, shotgun hulls, dirt clods, etc as targets. I have a couple of targets designed to "walk" when hit but keeping them moving takes a lot of practice. Did i say i really like the M&P 15-22?

Never had a problem with my S&W 15, I've shot the best I could find as well as Winchester Wildcat, and it still comes back for more. Seems to like the Remington Golden Bullet the best for some reason, go figure, the most accurate.

I tend to stick with the Federal bulk packs in my .22s and don't have many problems. I ran the 15-22 for about half of the last two carbine courses I took and had ~6 malfunctions in ~1000 rounds running the gun pretty hard. I'm looking at a bulk pack of golden bullets that nobody wanted because they're generally so terrible. I'll take them out tomorrow and see what happens. CCI mini-mags and standard velocity also run well in my gun.
