Following the recent purchase a 9Pro (first M&P semi) and was sufficiently satisfied with the fit and finish (value)I thought I would work on a 40c. After reading many posts I came up with this 40/9c Convertible.

M&P 40c from Code 4, 107703, Trijicon Night Sights and 3 magazines.
40 and 9mm full size magazines and X Grip from Greg Cote LLC.
Apex DCAEK and 9mm Storm Lake Barrel, from Midway USA.

The trigger on the stock .40 is amazingly crisp break with minimal take up, no stack and no "crunch". It actually feels better than the supposed better trigger on the Pro. I may have to try the Apex in the Pro and leave the .40 stock.

For around the house 16 rounds of .40 works. Option to go to the standard 10 magazines or 17round
9mm full.

The X Grip is very comfortable. The mid-size swell fits me best.

Since this was more a concept handgun I thought I might as well really work it over and really funk it up. I think it will look better balanced with the X-Grip This hasn't arrived yet as they are back ordered. I can put it on the 9Pro or an AR.

Very nice!... I run a similar setup. I bought it as 40 then put in a .357sig barrel in it. I carry it in 357sig and for more affordable shooting i put the .40 back in it. I also have the X-Grip and agree that it is very very good quality.

No problem with the extractor? I'm not familier with the M&P, but what keeps the 9mm case in the extactor? I'd think it would just get pushed to the left and not hook up.

According to Storm Lake Customer Service and many happy users, it is a drop in replacement. 9mm magazines must be used of course.
In the 357 SIG version it's barrel only and .357 rounds run in the .40 magazines.

The Storm Lake barrel is in transit.
