S&W M&P .45 Hi-Cap Mags?

Does anyone have info or a release date when S&W will release higher capacity mags for the M&P .45? I know they plan on making a 14 rounder but haven't been able to find out when.

Edit: I just read the forums and someone posted that they exist and are being tested. The poster didn't indicate how he knows this to be true or when they are expected to be released, however.

I didn't think it was possible. The magwell on the M&P .45 appears too narrow to accomadate a full double-stack mag (as opposed to a stagger-stack mag). I suppose it's how they kept the grip size down enough to make it comfortable.

Unless you're talking about an extended magazine, which would stick out the bottom of the grip?

The concensus on mp-pistol.com was that it woud be extended. I don't know if it would have a grip extension similar to those on the Springfield XD or not.

I really think everyone's just guessing right now.

Shot an e-mail to S&W customer service yesterday and the responded:

"those mags should be out in a few weeks
thank you "

Sorry I did not see your post earlier.

I have called Smith twice and they said they would be out in October sometime. Really nice customer service people. I smashed my sear tool on my MP [to much force] and he had the part to me in Two days-Free.
