S&W M41 have a lock?

Just bought a S&W M41 from an out-of-state dealer.

He's a reputable guy (I've done biz w/him b4).

But I neglected to ask if the 41 has the internal lock.

Question: do any of the Smith 41s have the internal lock? If so, where is the key hole?

Mine is only 8 months old and it dose NOT have an internal lock, neither dose any of my 3rd gens or my PC autos (952-2 and 945), the only S&W's that I know of with internal locks are their revolvers and their new M&P line auto's.

I don't think M41 has a key lock, but it does have a magazine disconnector like other S&W autos of the period.

That means that the gun won't fire unless the magazine is inserted?

I think my old Browning High Powers had that, didn't they?

Did all 41s have a magazine disconnect or just the more recent ones?

I think they all do. Mine does and I have had it for going on 35 years.
