My wife bought a 19-2 (1960's vintage) at a gunshow. It is in unfired / new condition with the original box, owner's manual, and sight adjusting screwdriver. She said it was "Really pretty" and gladly paid $450 for the gun.

Gotta love that woman!

She will never fire the 19. It's a 'collector piece' for her and it makes her happy just to own it. She carries a Model 60 LadySmith.

Bill.

I carried a model 19 as an LEO, and still love the gun. It's still pretty pristine, with just a few light spots from holsters, but still shoots like a dream.
I bought it back in the late 60's or early 70's and I'm awe struck that it's lasted as long as it has in this condition.
