Hi Guys
I currently find myself in a situation where I carry a handgun and recently had to fire a shot to protect my family. My S&W 469 is the only gun that I own that is suited to my current needs. Replacing it would be most uncomfortable due to local licensing issues. I would very much like to improve on the standard sights but none of the aftermarket sight manufacturers lists anything for it due to it being out of production for so long. Can anybody recommend sights that will fit without too much metal work? I would like better night visibility of the sights (Trijicon?).

Any advice on improving the trigger as well as accuracy would be much appreciated.
Thanks very much
Etienne

Sad to say theres not much that can be done without doing some slide work on a 469 , I modded mine by using a dab of dayglo paint on the front sight . Your best bet is to find a newer 6904/6906 outfitted with Novaks which are available with night sights. You didn't mention where you live so this advice might not be possible for you , but how much harassment are you willing to go through to adequately prepare yourself and your equipment to better protect your family ?

Hi Mortech
Thanks for the info. I am living in South Africa where recent gun legislation means about a 18 month wait (at least, if not more) before having any hope of getting another gun licensed. I can't see myself being without any handguns while I wait to have the application processed. Fitting other sights to the 469 would be preferable than getting another gun at his stage.
Which sights would be most suitable? Any ideas?

Any advice on holsters? It should be as unobtrusive as possible.
Thanks a lot!
Take care
Etienne
PS: .416Rigby would be one alternative ;)
