I have a brand new S&W 3000 pump 12ga.
Made mid 80s. Gun was inherited. Still in the original box. It has a 26in fixed IMP CYL choke. Looks well built. And the wood is awesome.
Would this be a good Pheasant gun or good for general trap shooting?

over a dog, yes. in the field maybe. trap no,unless you are quick. or you could have it threaded for removable choke tubes. eastbank.

.
What you have there, sir, is the Lexus of 870-pattern shotguns. That is a fine pump.

I have one I found five years ago. It too appears to have had very little use. It wears a 30" full choke barrel. I don't use it much but it's a keeper.

The 3000 supposedly has a real advantage for dealing with double feeds, emptying the magzine, and for changing ammo on the fly.
Anyone know what it might be?
