Found a very nice, tight S&W Model 36. Marked "36-2" with a THREE DIGIT serial number. Does this mean it's from the 1950 run? I don't have a S&W SN book here. Sweet revolver, anyway. It *says* 1950's even if it isn't from the '50's.

Prices will vary from state to state but I think $300 would be tops. Probably, $250 is what you should expect to pay for one in excellent condition but again, values depend on location. I got a 36-1 with a 3" bbl for $175 but it had a little finish wear and a weak trigger return spring. The 3" bbl will either be higher or lower than the 2" bbl version depending on who is selling it and how much you want it.:D
