S&W Model 52...

Anyone shooting the S&W Model 52-1 or -2 any comments, what is the difference in the -1 and the -2.....
what are they going for in 98% condition, 5" barrel, .38 wadcutters...

I've had mine about 25 yrs. They are great shooters. The arched rear strap would not be my 1st choice,but I can live with it. The stock wood grips are slippery in hot weather, Pachmayr grips for Mod 39 ,will solve that.They are very accurate,and have a trigger most guns only dream about.DSC00544

52 Has the M39 trigger system with the DA locked out and the SA adjusted light but somewhat "soft."
52-1 Has a true SA trigger system with a crisp pull.
52-2 Has the same trigger as 52-1 but with a short hook extractor instead of the long claw of 52 and 52-1.
Nothing to choose between 52-1 and 52-2 except if the long extractor breaks, you may be out of action, parts are scarce.

I don't know the current prices; I let my first one go but my second one is here to stay.
