S&W Model 60

Are all Model 60's chambered in 357/38? I'm asking cause i spotted one in a local pawn shop for $350. It's a M60-7 ...the tag said .38 only. Also, is it .38 Special or .38 S&W? Thanks in advance.

Early models were .38 spl. only, but they now come both ways. The one you're looking at will be chambered in .38 spl. They were never made in .38 S&W caliber.

thx for the info. I guess .357 would be a little on the heavy site...recoil-wise anyway. My wife might pick it up tomorrow...I know she wants that snubby!

The Model 60 .38 is a nice gun! I have a model 60 in 357 Mag. The .38 is a little lighter and sweet as can be.

I also have a model 60 in 38 special. They are great little pocket guns. I paid $329 for mine a couple of months ago, so I would say they were in the ballpark price wise.

The mod 60 came in 3e8 spl, then later was rated for +p & then in 357/38 ?

This one is almost half of retail, I don't see why you are saying NEW PRICE.???

My M60 (no dash) is 38special only and I picked it up last weekend.

I have an old model S&W 60 (no dash) of '79-80 vintage chambered in
.38 Special, with the original walnut S&W grips. I found it at the bargain
basement price of $249.95, back in OCT. of '98.
