As I was leaving my local dealer, he was taking in a S&W Model 625-3. Model of 1989, .45ACP, 3" barrel. Since N-frames seem to be my latest craze, I am wondering if this is a good revolver or not? Any one have any experience with them?

The 3" is rare, and the "dash 3" revision is one of the best. I'd say it was darn near perfect, with the exception being a Mountain gun 4" model. The balance should be similar between a full lug 3" vs the MG 4".

Yes, get it.

(mumble, mumble, mumble)...

I KNEW you guys were going to say that.

Well, what the heck, the wife left me alone this weekend with the 6 year old, we are having a batchelor weekend, so it serves her right if this follows me home.

Frosty...

Since you seem to be torn.
Offer the seller $325 out the door.
Either he will take it or he won't.

You get it, yu got a decent deal if you like it.
If you don't like it, you can always get your money back plus a little.

If you don't get it, oh well.

Sam...Patience and carry cash.

I wish I was like you and lived in a place where gun prices were reasonable. Unfortunately I am in the People's Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the state AG has driven prices on used guns sky-high with his restrictions on new guns. Since new guns must be on the state approved roster, and many companies simply refuse to buckle under, used guns are at a premium. If this is listed at less than $500 I will be really surprised.
