Hey guys, I'm going to purchase a Smith and Wesson MP15-22 in the near future and was wondering about the flash hider. Will a mock QD suppressor fit onto the flash hider that comes with the gun? I was thinking on ordering a cheapy off of an airsoft site.

Honestly, I think nobody's commented because most of us who shoot real guns don't bother with fake suppressors.

Don't get me wrong - it's your rig and you can set it up any way you want to, but what you want to do is kinda like putting plastic spinners on an escalade - sure ya save a little money, but man does it look goofy.

I'm not an airsofter, but most of the mock suppressors I'm finding on Google are going for $60 and up. IMHO, I'd save up a little longer and spring for a real suppressor. Way more fun, way more durable, and much less tacky. ;)

So nobody has any idea :what:? I think this would be a great little accessory for the MP.
You didn't even wait a full 24hrs on a Holiday Weekend for a response. Some people spend time with family on the holidays.

The factory 15-22 is threaded 1/2-28 like most AR's if I'm not mistaken. Most airsoft guns/accesories are threaded 14mmx1 LH. The 15-22 factory FH is of an A2 design and not made for suppressor attachment. Becaureful of what airsoft accessory you put on the front of that rifle. If it is made with enough similarity to the real thing the ATF might just consider it that. There are legitamate companies that make accessories for the 15-22. Several make barrel shrouds that look like integral suppressors.

Well, the suppressor I am looking at is a solid aluminum Gemtech replica. It's supposed to fit on the standard birdcage flashider on any M16 (airsoft or not). Right now I'm not old enough (19) or wealthy enough to drop around a grand on a nice suppressor and permit.
