Ok guys I know I want a red dot on it but what are some of the less expensive ones you are having luck with.....oh ya tan would be cool to match all the mag pul stuff but not mandatory

Check out Primary arms. I use one on my M&P 22

I have a Vortex Strike fire on mine (http://www.vortexoptics.com/category/strikefire_red_dots)
Its about 150 or so depending on where you look. Its a bit more money than alot of the really low quality stuff (NCstar ect), but it offers much better preformance. They are no EOtechs or Aimpoints, but mine seems to be reasonably tough, and has not had any issues. The amazing factory warrantee helps too.

I don't have experience with PA or Vortex, but I believe the Vortex optics carry a very attractive warranty. Just something to think about. I was originally going to get a Strikefire, but just decided to save up and try out a Meprolight M21.

Does your MAID grip sit flush with the rear of the receiver? Mine has a slight gap between the grip and the frame due to the slightly different shape of the 15/22.

And what did you use to match the mag to the furniture? Duracoat?

I'm pretty sure it one of the fde mags from smith
