I am very interested in buying one of these .22 rilfles. Wanting comments from anyone that owns one, good or bad. Got a Ruger 10/22 but really interested in a AR-15 type of platform for a plinker....Thanks.

I like Spikes Tactical

Kingfisher,

I don't believe you can use a 5.56 upper on a dedicated .22 lower. I may be wrong. I have a .223 RRA upper on a Stag Arms Lower. When I wanted to go the .22 LR route for the cheaper shooting. I purchased another Stag Arms lower, and a Spikes Tactical dedicated .22 upper. This combination runs just fine, and at any point I can take off the .22 upper and swap in a .223 or whatever suitable caliber upper. I hope I made some sense. Good luck with your decision.

regards,

Luis Leon

Can a .22 lower be used on a 5.56/.223 upper?

No, unlike what it appears to be, it is not an AR-15 lower. It is also plastic.

If you want that ability:

$400 - .22 Upper Receiver
$100 - AR Lower
$70 - LPK
$50 - Stock

$620 +/- So you will have to pay a premium for that flexibility. And you end up with an off brand gun, which I know a lot of people don't like.

Also correct with the Colt rimfire which has an aluminum receiver.

EAJ-thanks for a great reply...

My pleasure, hope it was helpful. :)
