S&W mP9 backstrap removal?

I just purchased one of these today and I cant get the backstrap tool to turn so i can pull it out to change the backstrap. It will not twist at all. Should I try and force it? Any ideas?

It's pretty hard to do the first couple of times. Don't be afraid to use a little force, I had to really torque on mine. Twist it 90 degrees so it extends into the magazine well and pull it out (that takes some force, too).

yea i finally got it out. whew i had to throw on the large grips, it feels so much nicer.

Apparently the first few they made had the pin loose enough to pop out. They certainly fixed that problem...mine won't go anywhere without the application of a pair of pliers.
