Does anyone have a suggestion for a cross draw open or concealed carry holster for a N-frame 29/629 with a 4in barrel?

Just received a holster from El Paso Saddlery for my Model 27 S&W. It took six weeks, cost $60 plus shipping and I could not be happier with their stuff. I recommend them if you can wait 6 weeks. Good luck!:)

A DeSantis Dual Angle Hunter is what I will be carring my 625 mountain gun in when it arrives.

The absolute best crosssdraw for the N-frame is the Sparks HSR. Can be had vertical for EITHER side, or crossdraw for weakside carry in true crossdraw. Very compact, and well designed, and can be ordered for any belt size. I tried a Kramer for the N-frame, but it was a bit bulkier, and needed a longer length of belt to be mounted, and thus interfered with the belt loops more than the Sparks. The Bianchi Cyclone is a good crossdraw, but I think it is out of production, although you can sometimes shake one up on ebay.

For an inexpensive ready-to-go holster, the Bianchi Cyclone is a well-respected cross-draw model. They have it in leather and also a ballistic nylon model for the budget minded.

AFAIK the Cyclone remains in current production. At any rate, it is still listed on Bianchi's website.

Six weeks or six months: still pretty good compared to Randall's wait time for a knife (over four years now).

I'm a fan of Simply Rugged for open carry and Lobo Gun Leather in Pueblo, CO for concealed carry (IWB) of N frame revolvers.

When I ordered my pancake from Simply Rugged, I got it in under a week. YMMV.

Well, you can order some nylon pouch marked "holster" from Uncle Mike's and have it overnighted. But it wouldn't be as nicely made as an El Paso either.
