S&W or DW

I'd take the Dan Wesson too. They're excellent guns that can take a lot of heavy loads without shooting loose. Dan Wesson's dominated the Silhouette competitions for years shooting out to 200 meters. The Dan Wesson is less expensive too. You can't go wrong with either.

I have multiples of both the S&W and DW. It would be a difficult choice but I think I would keep my 6" 586 over the rest. My 15-2 pistol-pac would be hard to let go.

I would take the DW for a couple reasons, the first being that I can actually work on it myself, and fix any conceivable problem it could have with the parts I have built up over the years. The design is so much more simple, and to me, logical, than the S&W mechanism. The second being I just like the DA trigger better than the 586/686. I currently have 3 DW .357's, a 6" near mint 715, and nice shape 4" and 6" Model 15-2s. All are VH barreled. I also have a 6" VH Model .44. I paid less for any two of the .357's than a decent 586 would probably go for. All four guns cost less than $1300, shipped and transferred.

There you go! (and I've got the other two as well) ;)

I want a full kit like the one my Dad had. More accurate at 50 meters than most firearms are at 25.

I do have a 586 with a trigger that the Model 15 can only imagine.

I am still looking for a good Model 19.
