Have an opportunity to purchase this NIB 3" .44 mag for $900 shipped. Is this a good value? Anyone have any experience with this wheel gun? I've included a couple of pics.
Thanks
Thanks guys. Are we talking about the PC model with ported barrel like this one? Build in 2006, NIB. He is willing to go down to $850 shipped. I don't mind the IL. What say you? I also prefer the fixed sights. It will be a winter carry gun. Thanks
I just bought a new 3" 586 ported Performance Center .357 for just over a grand and never looked back. My belief is if it makes you happy buy it. A hundred bucks one way or another is really not important. We are dead a long time. There is a lot of pride in ownership that comes with a PC gun. They should hold their value. The lock issue is a pile of BS to me.
Let us know what you decide.
Thanks, owner states it is an all Stainless Steel gun except for the satin chromed hammer & trigger. Would that be a plus? I also saw the same model on gunsamerica listed for $1399. WOW!
Yes, it is worth the asking price for the PC version I love all the folks who tell you everything is overpriced, but can't point you to the same gun currently for sale for their drastically lower prices. Buy it. Dave
I am not all that familiar with all S&W models. You may jump over to their forum and ask one of the pro's over there. It may make you a little more comfortable. To me it sounds like you have mentally bought the gun. Enjoy it.
Strange how S&W continues to sell tens of thousands of revolvers every year even with the ISL. I doubt that would have continued for the past 10 years if it was an overwhelming problem.

Go for it and don't look back. I love my 4" 629, it sports CT laser grips and is loaded with Cor Bon 165 gr. JHPS that I've chronographed at 1300 fps. I think it'd be a really decent stopper.
