What's the deal with this little-known revolver? I like the concept of an 8-round .357. It seemed to have appeared and dissapeared from the market, though.

Not just an 8 round .357. The R8 is an 8 round .357 with a tactical rail for a light/laser, and a top rail for an optic.

It's a tacticool revolver with a 4 figure price tag. They're probably not making that many, compared to their other products, and those that are being made are being snapped up quickly by those that appreciate Mall Ninja range toys.

The R8 is a performance center product which means limited quantities. There are plenty of other variations of the mod 327 8 shot 357 mag available.

I sleep with one almost every night.

Really nice balance, and recoil isn't to bad for a aluminum revolver with full .357mag loads.

Just a plain cool, awesome gun. I prefer it over my 627 V-comp for HD, because of better balance.

And, you can use Moonclips for quicker re-loading.

Ohhh, and the DA/SA trigger is killer.

8-shot 357, super-smooth action, very accurate, top and bottom rails. What's not to like?
