S&W SDVE .40 trigger??

Hi all, I have a friend who just purchased a SDVE.40 and I happened to be with him at the range when he first got to shoot it. He complained about the trigger and boy is it terrible. Because I know absolutely nothing about these guns, is there a drop in trigger or can this trigger be fixed. I feel sorry for him because he had his hopes set on this gun. Thanks for all replies. I second the Apex kit. My son has one in his SDVE .40-makes a difference.

I installed a Boudica trigger from Galloway Precision and it made a huge improvement in my SD40VE. I can't speak to the Apex trigger, but I have used other Apex products with good results as well.

Put a Galloway trigger on mine as well (used a MCarbo set of springs), it was a file to fit operation. Defintely better than the factory trigger but it's still not a target pistol.
Always amusing to let friends/family shoot it, makes my crappy shooting look better.

I've got an Apex trigger in mine. Its not bad at all, but not GREAT. Basically it takes it from "bad" to a decent striker fired trigger. Definitely worth the money though.
