S&W Serial Number Check, Please!

Hello - I have a buddy of mine that would like to know when his Smithy was made. Serial number is BDUxxxx. Any info you may have would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

At least knowing what model S&W it is would help someone help you.

Without knowing that, nobody can date it.
