@sturmgewehr

That's a great review, I've watched it.

I've been a follower of yours for awhile now.

You do a much better job than those guys that try to be funny (and aren't)

Or use foul language trying to act cool (and aren't).

Or drive down the street talking about a gun, but not doing anything instructional.

Keep up the good work.

:cool:

Yes, I thought it was a good video as well. Good idea on taking that pinky section off [if it is an issue with a particular magazine].

Great review.

I've watched a few of your reviews before this, and I really appreciate your approach. The practical application notes, like the comments about the 8 round mag & friction cuff, are exactly what reviews should feature.

Nice review, I have watched quite a few of your reviews and they have been done well. I would like to see a disclaimer that you are not being compensated by the manufacturer for reviewing their products.

Just me.

Jim243, I am not being compensated by any manufacturer for any review. As I mention in the video, I bought the handgun from my local gunshop and paid a few bucks under retail for it. The only conversation I had with S&W was when I called their customer service dept. to inquire about the use of +P ammo in the Shield.

I will never take money from a manufacturer for a review. Youtube isn't my day job, it's my hobby and so I have no motivation to wreck my credibility. I would rather buy my products (that I'll buy anyway) and give honest reviews. Trust me, I've made more than one manufacturer mad being honest in my assessment of their product. :D I don't think Sig, Century Arms or SureFire will be sending me a Christmas card this year.

Your videos are top notch, very professionally done, well organized, great presentation, and high production value.

Also - I like your point about the extension magazine. To each his own, but I never understood why people go and buy an ultra-compact or pocket pistol and then basically bump it up in size to the next larger category increasing the hieght of the pistol with an extension magazine.

Maybe with some other pistols its OK for the reload, but it does seem that S&W has a problem with their extension magazine design for the Shield.

Thanks for this review.

I've always wondered about that myself. At least now I know I'm not the only one. :D
