Hi all - Getting ready to buy a Shield in 9mm, and I can buy with and without the mechanical safety at about the same price. I have fired the version with the safety at a rental range, and it was fine for me as far as the trigger pull.
However, generally speaking, I would prefer the version without the safety.
I can't see how the safety could impact the trigger pull (weight, creep, etc.), but then again, I am no expert on the Shield's engineering. I assume there is no direct linkage between the safety and the trigger, so I would assume the safety has no bearing on trigger pull. But I thought I would ask the experts (you).
My question: Does having, or not having, the safety on the Shield have any impact on the trigger pull?
Thanks
