Does anyone have a link that lists out all of the S&W autoloaders?
Specifically, I want to see what model #'s are alloy frames.
Any help would be appreciated!
I guess they send em all down here to the "southside" where we are more likely to need them.
I use to have a 457. If I remember it was called the 457 "value edition" for some odd reason. I bought one when they first came out and were getting rave reviews in the gun rags.
If you want one of the Atlanta PD guns just go to the Forest Park Army Navy Store on Main street (across from the Tactical Supply Store). They have plenty of them for $356.00.
the thid gen guns with aluminum alloy frames all end with a 3.
3913, 5903, etc.
If the number ends in 4 it is a black (not sure if it is anodizing or a coating) alloy frame, to match the blue slide.Rob P. said:If it's blue it's NOT alloy.
This model is one of the inconsistencies in the numbering system; 6 usually indicates all stainless steel. The 6906 is an alloy frame and SS slide.
On the 5904 anyone know what differentiates the round trigger guards from the squared/combat ones? I've heard the squared ones were early versions but don't know if that's correct. Thanks.
