You are using the old High Contrast theme. We have installed a new dark theme for you, called UI.X. This will work better with the new upgrade of our software. You can select it at the bottom of any page.
I've never tried it either but in my experience J frames are in a whole other category as far as parts. I would say probably not. Of course some skill with a file can make almost anything fit. (just kidding)
The actual thumb piece is smaller on the J frame, but the nut that secures them seems to be the same. I just switched out the thumb piece on my J frame and L frame revolvers. The J frame slot is smaller and it would require some hand fitting to make the L frame part seat and fit properly, but it could be done with a little file work. The L frame part fits and works on the J frame, it just rides a little high.
The J frame part will fit and work on the L frame but it would look kinda' odd in my opinion. I'm not sure why anyone would want to make the swap, but it appears to work.
