S&W X-frame scope?

I posted this in the revolver forum - but here maybe more appropriate. (Mod's feel free to delete one).

Any folks got any first hand experience with either a Burris Posi-Lock 2x-7x or Leupold VX-III 2.5x-8x scope on a S&W X-frame (460 or 500)?
Which is likely to hold up better? Whose warranty service is better?
I plan to mount it on Jack Weigand's base and rings (4) on my 460 XVR 8&3/8.

Also, I am not planning on shooting past 100 yds.

Any thoughts?

First, you don't need an 8x variable scope to shoot 100 yards.

Second, a pistol scope with a wide field-of-view is more important then lots of magnification.

You will think you have Parkinson's Disease while looking at the shaking going on through a 7x or 8x pistol scope! They are better suited for bench-rested varmint caliber pistols then a hard-kicking super-Magnum like the X-Frames.

I would consider the Leupold 2x or 4x fixed power scope the best selection for either a .480 or .500 S&W, both for the wider FOV, and the longer eye relief much needed on the hard kickers!.
