575 is a really good price. However you should be aware that buds doesn't update the price until they get a new batch in stock so that might not be the actual sale price.

thats what i thought but when you click reserve gun it commits you to the listed price

does anyone know how much it is to transfer a gun to another gun shop where i can pick it up?

Depends on where you live. Most states have a list of FFL dealsers that you can ship the gun to and do the paper work.

You'll have to pay shipping also, unless Bud's does free shipping.

Did you check Gunbroker for used 1911s. That's where I got mine. You can find pistols that have been hot rodded and whatnot including trigger work. I honed in on used Colts and Springfields and ended up with an SA Mil-Spec with a beavertail, skeletanized hammer and FO front sight. When I visited the gun at my local FFL yesterday, it seems to me like the trigger was worked on too because it felt pretty light. I can't wait to take it home. (I'm in Maryland's waiting period now). Anyway, don't discount used 1911s from reputable makers.

have ordered from bud's [through local FFL]. no probs, good to go.
