SA 35

No problems with any magazines I've tried, Springfield, Browning, a couple after markets of unknown origin.

I picked up my SA-35 last week, and pumped about 150 rounds through it. The only problems I had were magazine issues... the last round would fail to feed, even when hand cycled. I have 4 mystery magazines that are nearly 30 years old, from when I had my original Browning (Portuguese assembled piece of junk...) so it's likely they are just tired. I ordered 3 mag springs from Wolff, and changed out the 2 problem magazines, and one that wasn't having issues. I don't know the manufacturer of the mags... 2 are marked 'Italy' and 2 have no markings at all... FWIW.

I'm going to try to stop by the range, again, tonight, on the way to bowling, and see if the new springs fixed the issue.

If you keep having issues with the old mags, I bought a few of the 13 and 15 rounders made by Mec Gar from Gun Mag Warehouse. Both the 13 and 15 round magazines have worked flawlessly for several hundred rounds so far.

(Clearly the 15 round OEM magazines were also made by Mec Gar, as the patent numbers on the right side on both the Mec Gar and the Springfield magazines are the same.)

Stay safe..

I shot them last week, feeding was much improved, but I still had a few lingering FTFeed's. I didn't keep track of which one, but it very well may have been the lingering 4th mag with the old spring.

Mags going wonky is why I got into the habit of marking mine with model paint dots so I know which one to work on (or cull out) if it happens. First one stays blank, second gets one dot, third gets two, etc. (I have several Glock 17 magazines that look like the bases were made out of old dominoes. ) :)

I thought I had pictures of some magazines marked with dots, but I don't. All I found was this pic of my CZ 2075 RAMI with the bottom of the mags showing their dots.

TBH, I've not had many magazine problems in all these years... even ancient USGI AR 20rd magazines. I may mark them so I can better identify which one may be the culprit... thanks for the tip!

I just noticed the tan and olive drab Glock mags on the left in that pic have their dots, too. Just a habit I got used to doing. 😇

Stay safe.

I've a label maker, and number or letter all of my mags, to keep track of any problem magazines.
A local shop, that has seen plenty of my business (and trades) likes the ones with my labeled magazines; it's something of a selling point. ;)
