Your SA-35 Experiences?

One showed up at my farm store below msrp.

Very much wanting one, and a hellcat with safety!

Kind of want to hold off for a stainless sa 35. You know it's coming!

Well made, shoots well, nice trigger, very good sights;
I like mine very much.

Some outside edges a bit sharp but nowhere near as much
as Colt's XSEs, "Extra Sharp Edges."

I've never been "bitten" by a hammer on an auto pistol either. Have always wondered what all the fussing was about. I think maybe some people are built "meatier" between their thumb and index finger??

I don't know, I think high grip hood and hand shape probably has more to do with it. I've been bitten by a ppk slide. I've also been bitten by true gi 1911, sistema colt.

160 lbs/ 6'3 at that time. I do have xl hands and long fingers. Adjusting grip after being bitten I was fine.

A lot of the old school pistols famous for slide bite weren't made for modern holds. Old trainings show one handed shooting, often body oriented side profile.

Yes, What defjon said. In old photos of pistol shooters, many seem to be griping whatever pistol or revolver they are shooting lower than many of us would now days. I grip handguns as high up as I can, and yes non beavertail 1911s, Hi Powers, Swiss SIG 210s, etc. do bite me. The Swiss 210s bite me the worst; think bloodshed...

If you can zoom in on those old gunfighter type shooting positions, usually the shooter has their thumb down as well.

Using the one handed hold like this, I can shoot pre beavertail ppks, gi 1911s, 40 caliber browning hp...no problem.

Yeah, but I must know, really know, know with certainty what were
those old time dudes' timer splits?

They couldn't have been deadly without a record of their splits.
Knowing your splits is the sign of a professional gunfighter.
