re: Custom Shop
I have a S/A 1911 in .38 Super that came out of the Custom Shop.This gun has a set of iron sights made by Aristocrat for PPC matches.It allows for the same sight picture hold at 25,50 and100 yards by means of a preset dial on the side of the rear sight.I want to install a fiber optic front sight on this unit to help these old eyes but the front sight is almost 1/4 1nch high and I cannot find one high enough.I called the Custom Shop and they could not have been more helpful. They said to send them just the slide and they would install one if they had one in stock or for a few dollars more they would make one. This is first class customer service in my opinion.I have owned a few Springer 1911 platforms over the years, but this is the first time I had to call them.They also told me when they built the gun when I gave them the S/N.I have always heard they had the best customer service, now I am a believer.Joeyt
