I cannont find the dimensions anywhere on the web and I am considering picking one up soon. I am trying to figure if it will be more comfortable to carry IWB than my Stoeger Cougar 8000.

The Couagar has a double stack mag and is about 1.5" wide. It pooches out pretty far as I am a thin guy and makes my pants stick out like a triangle.

Anyone with a SA Loaded 1911 that can provide me with the width (thickness) of the gun?

My 5" Springfield measures .915" in slide thickness. The grip is about 1.21" to 1.34" but I have Pearce rubber grips on mine and they have "contours". You can buy "thin grips" that will make the grip width narrower.

Thanks for the reply.

The local gunshop does not have one in-stock so I had to rely on THR

Just about everything is going to be slimmer than the Cougar, and the 1911 is going to be one of the slimmer guns you can get in a service pistol, both in slide and grips. If you care, you can also get slim grip panels for the 1911, though it will require a little bit of work.
