Sacramento Deputy shot and killed

This town is doing something to try and keep gangs and gangmembers down to a minimum.

It has been going on for some time now. The death of the officer might be a catalyst to stomp these folks back down into the ground "hole" they come from. If something is not done and soon, this type of terrorist will be roaming around and shooting at groups of people for no reason:what: Vermin to the max. One of the reasons I like my firearms and why the "second" is only way to go.

Very true. The last figures I saw said it costs about $50,000 a year to keep a convict in prison. It costs more than a million to execute him.

now there is a good use for my tax dollars. Heck, killing these criminals would be cheap at twice the price
 
My wife's grandmother lives in Sac, so we visit now and again. One of the times we visited, I saw an ice cream truck go by. It was wrapped in chicken wire and bullet-proof glass, with a little hole to put money in and get your ice cream. On our way out, we stopped at a Taco Bell. The drive-thru window had a 2 inch thick glass box that they slid out to get your money and give you your food. Who would want to live in a place like this.

Why is killing a cop more horrible than killing a toddler, or a young mother or, for that matter, anyone else?

Because the criminal is resisting the will of the state.

-OR-

Because the cop's life is more valuable because he is trying to protect toddlers, young mothers, and everyone else from this murderer. That's why more than 100 police, sheriff's detectives and federal agents scoured South Sacramento for the deputy's killer and there aren't 100 officer manhunts when toddlers, young mothers, and everyone else is murdered.

At any rate, RIP Deputy Nguyen.
