New to reloading here, got my setup over the xmas holliday and was looking forward to the gunshow in Charleston,sc this weekend to get components. Not so great, Georgia Arms had small rifle primers that i was able to get @ 36/k. They had some large rifle and a few benchrest large rifle. No pistol primers, was informed they can barely get enough to make their ammo. As far as powders went they had a decent selection of rifle propellents but very little in the pistol department. Nothing bigger then 1lb cans. No one else around the building had much either, one guy had 2k large pistol primers that he wanted 50/k for :what: Not super stoked. /end rant

*addendum* I also found out yesterday that I won't be getting my Lock-n-load rebate for 45 SWCs untill the end of april. So I guess it means I wouldnt really need that keg of unique anyways

Check out http://www.powdervalleyinc.com/ they have wolf primers in stock(@ 25.50 per 1000), and 8lbs jugs of unique. Just got an order from these guys last week, they charge a $25 hazmat fee +$10 shipping. What did your trip to the gun show cost?

Received my stuff in 4 days.

If you want 45 SWC check out MO bullet, they ship the same day. Their not jacketed Hornady, but once you start reloading you'll quickly figure out your going to shoot too much to stick with Hornady prices.

Theres no shortage, just gotta be creative, enjoy!

A true disappointment....

A true disappointment for sure, but not a setback.

Build a list of local reloaders from friends, members here, local gun clubs, and shooting ranges. You'll not have any difficulty getting 4 or 5 people to split the $35 ordering charge from Powder Vally, Wideners, Grafs, or one of the others. $35 split 4 ways is less than a gun show! That's just the way it's done.

Start by putting your general locale in your profile. See where CMGRED's info says Kansas City? Your's don't say squat !!

Hey 1911, I was at that same gun show this morning. Was working the Friends of NRA table right next to Georgia Arms. GA actually had to shut the factory down for a bit not too long ago because they couldn't get primers.

I was also on the hunt for SPP's, no luck.

I'm thinking I'm going to put an order in to powder valley. I've got one other guy that needs stuff too. If we could work out a three way split it would really trim that hazmat down to size. PM if interested.
