To start, I wasn't even aware of JFPO so thanks for the links. I've been aware of SAF for awhile though. Politics being what they are we sometimes align ourselves with others who can promote our agenda regardless of our distaste for their motives.
A good example of this was the US Soviet alliance in WW2. That was a huge compromise that paid off in the short term by supporting one dictator while trying to defeat another.
It looks to me like the JFPO is/was driven from a genocide prevention platform and it's supporters were mostly descendants from those who perished at the hand of a dictator. Some parallels could be made here with the militarization of our police and an out of control DHS.
For me this whole 2A gun control issue is like a poker game. Any good poker player knows that you have to have a strategy to win. They know that you can't win every hand and it comes down to playing the hand that you are dealt. Sometimes a compromise is order. It's not exactly a black and white world.
I'm not Jewish, my ancestry is mostly Irish. It's not always a fair fight but it's still a fight all the same.
