This is a review of a shoulder holster I've seen precious few reviews of - a modular design by Safariland that fits many different models of pistol:

This is one of the few new ideas in shoulder holsters that I've run across. Since most people carry in belt holsters, there's not a lot of thought put into shoulder rigs - which tend to be more expensive than a belt holster to begin with. This thing sells for around 80-90 brand new, as of July 20 2013.

TL;DR review:
Holster component good, harness is terrible, holster component holds the gun securely, concealability is lacking, single mag pouch absurdly bulky.

Long review:
The Gun Quick holster holds the gun in place via a cupped end near the muzzle and the spring (covered in plastic tubing) at the grip. The holster can be adjusted for myriad models of automatic pistol. 1911 and Springfield XD users might not like the fact that the strap will depress the grip safety while the gun is holstered. Adjustment to length and width is made via an included hex wrench. The gun is held very securely. I haven't been able to dislodge it.
This holster will not hold a gun with a light mounted on the rail. It might fit one with the tiny Crimson Trace rail-mounted laser, but I don't have one to test.
Draw stroke: Put your hand on the grip, in the normal fashion. Pull forward. The muzzle will rotate downwards. Now you push it down, to clear the strap, and bring it up to fire. Sounds far more slow and complicated than it is. It's faster, IMO, than the Galco style thumb snap. The spring-strap does not interfere with the draw, surprisingly enough. It works quite well on my Walther PPQ.
Harness:
A Y-Harness, similar to Bianchi X-15 - fake leather around the holster, and an elastic strap on the off side. Only this elastic strap fastens to the belt/pants via suspender clip instead of looping around the armpit. And this elastic strap features a very bulky mag pouch that should have no problem holding normal capacity single- and double-stack magazines. It is a flap-pouch, and closes with velcro. Secure, but very bulky.
Trigger guard protection is not as significant as most people are used to in a shoulder holster, but it is sufficient.
There is a suspender clip attached to the holster as well. These suspender clips are tie downs. They will not hold if you engage in sudden, violent movements. The holster won't fall off, but it will swing around.

Concealability - not so good. It's a squarish holster with a poor harness. This square nature is required when you're making it ambidextrous, but doesn't help concealment a bit. Galcos do this better.

How to make it better: use an X-harness and get a different mag pouch for the off side. Concealability will be improved (I find that the mag pouch prints more than the gun), but not perfect. Bianchi and Galco make excellent X-harnesses.

This holster makes for a faster than normal draw with a shoulder holster, with no fumbling for the thumb snap. It's very secure and adjusts to several models of pistol.

The harness isn't ideal, but it works okay. If you just buy a shoulder holster for long drives, it'll do just fine.

Overall, an interesting development, needs tweaking to be really good.

My experience with the holster has been a bit different.

I just couldn't get pass the flaw in the retention system. You either have to grab the gun, lower, below the spring to allow it to slip free as the gun was pushed forward or you had to partially release your grip to let it slip out if you took a high grip.

This by itself was enough of a stopper to further evaluation

A shooting buddy had one of these and he was constantly trapping the spring retention "cord" during his draw. He never did adjust his draw to the design.

There is another alternative to this design, it's also an extremely comfortable X harness and you can remove the thumb break. It has an adjustable "Power Band" that controls the tension placed on the gun. You can crank the band tight enough to dislocate a shoulder while trying to draw the weapon. It's the only shoulder holster that I will use.
