For the heavier buckshot/magnum loads, do you switch to the #1 setting or the #2 setting on the gas regulator?

I have read conflicting views on this and wish to see if ANYBODY can clear this up for me.

Also................

Slugs through a full choke barrel.

Are there any that can be used? This is another "cornfusing" question that needs to be answered.

I have never adjusted my gas setting since I have gotten it from the factory. In fact I kind of forget that the adjustment is even there. I don't know if I'm on 1 or 2. (I'm at work right now and they might frown on me having it here!)

I've run buckshot, slugs, and bird with no malfunctions at all on the same setting. Buckshot has ranged from reduced recoil to full power 12 pellet 00. S&B, Rem, Fed. Mostly S&B as it is cheap and patterns well in my Saiga. Slugs have been Fed or Rem. Mostly Rem reduced recoil. Bird has ranged from el wimpo Walmart bulk Winchester up to some really rocking game loads.

I have not used any magnum loads though. No real need for me, so I don't ever bother with them.
