After a bit of searching for the longer barrel version, I picked up a 21.5" bbl S410 a while back, thinking i'd use it for skeet....however, even with the No.3 full-choke screwed on, i'm getting about a 6" pattern at 15 ft. (tested it out in the garage with the .22lr bullet box) and at 20yds i wouldn't call it a pattern anymore.

I meant to challenge myself at skeet, but i'm afraid that this wouldn't be so much a challenge as just luck to hit a clay.

I like the gun, did the conversion, ordered up a couple 4rd mags, and an overpriced FSB from Dinzag (not installed yet), but am losing faith in the skeet potential...or any potential except fun-gun status. So, overall, I'm not enthused to have almost 600 bucks (extras and parts included) tied up in something that doesn't work for my purposes. What are your thoughts?

At this point, i'm inclined to trade it in or go SBS...which would look cool, but i don't live near rattlesnake country, and can't do an underfolder in my state.

You might try the .410 sub forum on the saiga 12 boards. I have only shot buckshot ought of the .410 so I cannot comment.
