is there anybody out there who can comment on the ergonomics of this style stock? How does it compare to the Saiga with an AK conversion?

Well, the balance point would be a bit forward vs. the AK conversion, but you could probably compensate for that by putting your wallet in the pocket opposite your shooting shoulder. The extra few hundred bucks in it would probably counterbalance the gun nicely, especially in small bills.

I like the Dragunov stock although I have not shot with it very much. I think it is a huge improvement over the "sporting" stock.
