I'm reposting this as a new thread, I think it got lost in the shuffle of the old thread:

FYI, I just now again had a Saiga 308-1 in my hands. The trigger didn't seem too bad to me but the BIG thing is the ones I've just seen have a new "tactical" stock on them from the factory. The gun shop guy said the stock was new. It's essentially tubular and incorporates a pistol grip. It could ALMOST be considered a thumbhole stock except the "thumbhole" is very big. Is this what some people are calling the new thumbhole stock?

I went to their site and saw a wooden thumbhole stock that does not resemble what is on the rack. How is it I see this new "tactical" stock in the store but not at the site?

Also, what is the delivery time on those 20 round mags?

I thought I'd revive this rather than start anew - if you don't want to go through the 922(r) hassles of conversion, are the thumbhole stocks close to normal pistol grips in handling?

My father and I decided we ought to go 50/50 on something in .308 and the IZ-140 looks like the best deal around at $150 apiece.
