Sako Finnbear L61R Deluxe Value?

Hi, all...

When my dad was in the Army in the late 1960's, he was stationed in Germany. He bought a Sako Finnbear L61R Deluxe at a "shooter's club" as it were. I am looking for any information you can give me on it. The serial number is 54054 and it is a .30-06. It has the factory ring mounts. I have used it for hunting for years, and it has been a superb rifle, and given its age, still looks awesome condition-wise. Any idea on value?

FWIW, last year, I posted a question on some gun forum about a similar age L61R Finnbear, in .300 Win Mag, serial number 383xx. This one is in almost-new condition except for a bad recoil pad. The answer I got back was about $700-800. Second-hand information, so do with it as you will.

A friend came into some money back in 1970. He bought a hunting trip to the Caucasus Mountains to shoot some exotic critter. He bought a new Sako Finnbear .25-06.
A few years later he could not meet the payment on a 3 year old Ford pick-up. I bought the Sako .25-06. It has never ventured East of the Wind River Mtns. It will go to my son.
