Guys, here is my Saluda Special Ranch/field knife.
Its 4" blade is the perfect size for everyday wear and use
Alabama damascus blade, desert ironwood handle scales with red G10 liners for class
thanks
Handsome knife. I have a little 6 1/2" blade cleaver (hammer marks on the blade like an Old Hickory) I've toyed with the idea of cutting up into a Roachbelly like that but I'm in no hurry.
Unless you plan on using it daily for a couple of decades, there's a lot of extra steel on the blade between the edge and the spine and the point makes it questionable for chopping. Historic style though!
