The City of San Francisco has agreed to postpone enforcement of the provision of Prop H that bans the sale or transfer of any firearm or ammunition until March 1, 2006.

A letter from the City confirming this is posted at http://calgunlaws.com/

Is this so that the good people can have time to sell their property and move somewhere else? :neener: :banghead:

every time I hear of that, I can't help but think it's no coincidence that it's titled "Proposition H"...

LOL:D :D
I'm with you I cant help but think of Austin Powers!!

Dr. Evil: Our early attempts at a tractor beam went through several preparations. Preparations A through G were a complete failure. But now, ladies and gentlemen, we finally have a working tractor beam, which we shall call... Preparation H.
[Scott snickers]

Dr. Evil: What?

Scott Evil: Why don't you just call it operation ass-cream, you ass.

Dr. Evil: I'm sorry, did you say you want some ice cream?

Scott Evil: Yes, I'd love some chocolate ass-cream.

Dr. Evil: Perhaps later.

Number 2: Dr. Evil, I love your plan.

Dr. Evil: You do?

Frau Farbissina: Yah. It's a really good plan.

Dr. Evil: Yes Frau, on the whole Preparation H feels good.
[Scott resumes snickering]

Dr. Evil: What is it now?

Scott Evil: No, I totally agree with you. Preparation H does feel good... on the hole.

Enforcement of the act on the date specified in the Proposition would certainly bring down a wealth of lawsuits. The city would have to actually do some enforcement activity if they don't do a delay and they may not want to create a media frenzy. And who's house would they go to first? Feinstein's ??

I thinking that by delaying the enforcement date, that will give the city attorneys time to plan legal strategies when the flood of lawsuits hit the courts. It could even give the city time to "reflect" and maybe suspend the Proposition indefinitely. That's probablt a fat chance, but the media coverage could cause enough of a problem that the city could wind up with egg on its face (again).
