Where's The Aclu??????

These people are having one of their basic CIVIL LIBERTIES taken from them. I say to #@!! with the idiots who vote for it, but the ones who don't are being deprived of their god given rights. Where is the ACLU defending them? Aerican Criminal Liberties Union I'd Say! :cuss:

The American Communist Lawyers Union has bought into the argument that the 2d Amendment pertains only to the right of states to form militias. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

SAN FRANCISCO — Frustrated by a 28 percent increase in homicides during the past year, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors (search) has proposed a sweeping measure banning handguns, injecting the city into the national debate over gun control.

Sure, why not. As others have pointed out; the ban in D.C. has worked out so well.

Once again?...............I was not aware that you could not own a handgun in Noo Yawk.

that is not true.

BUT = gettting a handgun in NY, (i am pretty sure, unless the rules are regional or have changed)

to get a handgun, you have to have something that is almost the equivalent of a CCW in other states, you have to have permits to own it , not just to carry it.

someone correct me if i am wrong, but i remember a friend's dad who went thru the nonsense when i was in boy scouts.

oh it is much worse than that= way too many avg folks around here have totally bought right into that as well.

Worse= a black, lesbian gun owner i know said this about it=

"well, even the idea of a state milita, isn't that outdated? it's not like a state militia could actually resist the federal gov'ts military"

well i would certainly die trying!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think too many people have that attitude in America these days, the govt is too powerful to overthrow ever, so there's no point in keeping arms for that purpose.

I DONT BUY IT.

The sheeple will bleat their approval and then the broke City will spend $1 million to defend an unconstitution law. If I were a law firm, I'd gear up to file and get some $ from the City. :p

It *should* be exactly the opposite

>>>I think too many people have that attitude in America these days, the govt is too powerful to overthrow ever, so there's no point in keeping arms for that purpose.<<<

Barney fife and ALL federales *should* be in fear of everyday joe law abiding citizen.......For we ALLOW them to serve! It truly is a shame to see so many normal people feeling that way. It's also a shame that SO many people work for uncle sam! That they can't actually produce something or through some creativity and wit actually put back INTO the system instead of sucking wind out of it......

It's easy not to take the high road and work for something big lazy and dinosaur like that will always be there to provide no matter how competent or incompetent one may be........The latter is usually the norm nowadays. It is however alot harder to stop everything, become focused and put out 120% literally every day until you are successful when failure is not an option.

I'll put out 120% everyday and provide for myself thanks.
