SAO 9mms, or the lack thereof...

If the CZ75 SA was offered in stainless I would have bought one.

Good things about this thread:

Thanks for the head up on what CZ will deliver--and the write up on the FNP9.

Bad things: big drift.

You can make the conversion, but is it really the same?

Not exactly, but pretty close.

The beavertail of the stainless model is longer than the standard 75B, and similar (or identical) to the one on the SA models.

The safeties are ambidextrous, like the SA.

The mag release can be switched (which isn't possible with the SA models.)

The stainless steel slide is slightly different -- the rails on the SS slide are shorter than on the SA model -- but if you measure the height of the rails, you'll see that extended rails are less high as they move to the front, and may have little or no effect. They might be functional or they might be for looks -- it's hard to tell.

If you remove the standard DA/SA disconnector and install a two-way adjustable trigger, the internal mechanism is exactly the same.

The .40 SA guns have a full-length guide rod, but the 9mm models don't. I haven't seen any stainless steel .40s, but they may exist.

The safety levers on the SA model are different and larger, and they'd be a good addition ti a conversion gun.

So, it's not exactly the same gun, but after conversion, some might consider the converted gun to be arguably better -- if you want stainless.
