Hello all. I have a Kansas CCW and am just wondering if anyone can point me towards and resources to find out if it is legal to carry a concealed a leather blackjack in Kansas? I tried looking online and didn't come up with much. And, if not on my person, would it be legal to carry it in my car (if so how) or use for home defense?

Thanks you all! :)

21-6301. Criminal use of weapons.

(a) Criminal use of weapons is knowingly:

(1) Selling, manufacturing, purchasing or possessing any bludgeon, sand club, metal knuckles or throwing star;

(2) possessing with intent to use the same unlawfully against another, a billy, blackjack, slungshot, or any other dangerous or deadly weapon or instrument of like character, or a dangerous or deadly weapon or instrument;

Ah, thanks. So you're telling me I can't even possess one? And what do they consider a "bludgeon", would a small baseball bat be one?

But you didn't ask about a normal mundane item, did you. ;-)

The key for adapted/improvised defensive tools is passing a reasonableness test for having them at the time.
