There you have it. The person that actually pulled the trigger and shot President Reagan and turned Jim Brady into a drooling vegetable is free to go on unsupervised vacations and Sarah Brady doesn't make any noise about it at all.

Instead she spends all her time and money harassing people that had nothing to do with the crime. That shows you what her real agenda is and her invalid husband was just a stepping stone to get her gungrabbing implemented.

So the actual presidential assassin is out walking around free, while those of us that were hundreds or thousands of miles away from DC when it happened or people that weren't even born yet are still being punished with the brady bill and other inane gun grabbing laws.

Nevermind that when the shooting happened there was a complete handgun ban in DC and US Secret Service agents were all over the presidential entourage. What we need is more laws punishing people that had nothing to do with the crime... that woulda prevented it! /sarcasm

That poor woman needs some serious psychological help.
I still hope that one day she'll see the light. Being the eternal liberal optimist I am, I think one day, she will.

I got to watch a good friend of mine back in California, your stereotypical northern California Liberal (Severely anti gun) actualy shoot skeet for the first time today. She had a ball, and will go back.

I figure if she can even be bothered to shoot a gun, then there's hope for anyone, even the poor, deluded Sarah Brady.

She has no problem with guns. It's well documented that she bought a hunting rifle for her son's birthday a few years back.

She has a problem with YOU owning a gun. How dare you mundane peasants.

Just a slight issue here is that nowhere in that article is any mention made directly about Mr. Brady or Sarah Brady, nor are they quoted anywhere. So in reality, we don't actually know how she is reacting to this news, or indeed even if she knows about it at all. The article never says half a word about even Mr. Brady except that Hinckley shot President Reagan and three other people, and we happen to know that Mr. Brady was one of them.

The article doesn't say that Mrs. Brady could not be reached or refused to comment. The article is about Hinckley, not Mrs. Brady.

So before we all fly off the handle about how Sarah Brady is reacting to it, we should at least make some kind of effort to figure out how she is reacting to it, instead of reading a single article the way we want to read it.

Every time there is a shooting in Podunk, USA by some criminal punk Z and poor victim X died you can expect the Brady Campaign to start dancing on X's grave and immediate calls to ban whatever was misused. So it's obvious they keep up with current news.

Something as important as a judge's ruling that Hinckley can go free would not be unnoticed. Especially if the brady witch still has protective orders or if the secret service is involved.

Secret Service Costs?

Anyone know or care to guess what it costs the taxpayers to have Mr. Hinkley shadowed by the Secret Service during his 'unsupervised visits?'

I have also heard rumors- yes, I know I shouldn't base anything on rumors- that Mr. H is far from "well" and still has a thing for Jodie Foster.

I have no issues with any prisoner getting needed treatment for mental health issues, or earning privileges for doing so, etc.

But the thought of Presidential Assassins being turned loose while I'm being stripped daily of rights and freedoms just upsets me beyond words. :banghead:

Anyone have thoughts on what would have happened had the victim in the attempt been a liberal Democrat? Say Hillary? Anyone think he'd have gotten the same treatment? :cuss:

You're probably right. But we still don't actually have her reaction to this news, we just have the news itself and we're implying a certain reaction, which I don't agree with doing even if it is our nastiest opponent.

My problem is not that its unfair to Mrs. Brady, even though it is. My problem with implying a reaction, however likely, is we are reacting to something that we made up, not analyzing the reality of the matter. It makes us look like a bunch of reactionary sabre-rattlers every time we get torqued off about some imaginary offense.

And it would really make us look stupid if in a later press release, Mrs. Brady showed up angry as hell that Hinckley was allowed to take his vacations like a free man after shooting four people.

Horse to ride

The day Brady was shot was the same day President Reagan was shot.

IIRC other Security persons were shot , or injured in this incident.

Sad day in history no doubt. I am not making light of Brady's serious injuries.

President Reagan kept his wits and sense of perspective - and sense of humor
"I forgot to duck" or something similar was his reply. I also want to say I never heard any resentment from Security persons injured, not even a negative quip from their families.

Sarah found a horse to ride. She got / gets attention, monies, sympathies, and whatever else from her husband's injuries. One 'could rationalize' her being resentful, scared, hating guns as a coping mechanism after such a life altering trauma , called being a human being...

No, Sarah found a horse to ride - she HAS to keep stirring up emotions and instilling mob mentality, she HAS to continue skewing stats and data...she needs them "quarters" to feed the "ride".

Sarah does not want the horsey ride to stop.

oldie but "goodie"?

is this the same sarah brady??

" Our main agenda is to have ALL guns banned. We must use whatever means possible. It doesn't matter if you have to distort facts or even lie. Our task of creating a Socialist America can only succeed when those who would resist us have been totally disarmed."

:cuss:

Look, I'm not saying Sarah Brady isn't a complete no-talent assclown, she is.

And Ive got no problem at all with reacting to things that she's said, like the completely asinine comment of hers you just posted, rev214.

What I have a problem with, to spell it out, is reacting to imaginary information. Sarah Brady gives us all enough ammunition without us deciding that its ok to just make stuff up.

That broad straw-purchased a couple of Remington 700s for relatives. I'm just wondering why she isn't in ClubFed getting a "train" pulled on her
